About Me
Hi, I’m Hillary Dang — a science graduate from the University of British Columbia with a combined major in Computer Science, Biology, and Chemistry. My journey into tech began as a software developer at Truffle Time Inc., where the flexibility of my role sparked an unexpected but exciting interest in UX design.
Driven by this new passion, I pursued and completed the Google UX Design Certificate, which deepened my understanding and enthusiasm for creating meaningful user experiences. Shortly after, I joined the University of Calgary’s Data for Intelligence Lab as a UXI Developer, where I had the opportunity to apply and grow my design and developer skills in a research-driven environment.
Following this, I joined SCADALink as a Web Development Lead for the summer, where I led website design/development initiatives and created branded visual assets for social media and the website. As this contract concludes, I am seeking new opportunities to further grow in UX design, contribute to impactful projects, and continue evolving as a creative problem solver alongside talented teams.
Outside of work, I’m fueled by a love for music and enjoy playing the piano, staying active with badminton and karate, getting crafty with arts (my latest obsession is crocheting!), and occasionally winding down with some gaming.
